Welcome to the homepage of  Värdshuset Vita Älgen ("The White Moose Inn" or "The Spirit Moose Inn" as the First Nations would name it). Hospitable since 1762. We are open all year but by reservation only. If you’d like to contact us, pls. Use he contact information above.

Åmotfors is situated by the railway between Oslo and Stockholm. 2 hrs by train to Oslo. 3 hrs to Stockholm. If you fly in, the easiest is Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. Easiest though somewhat more expensive than the train, is to let us pick you up by car. You might also rent a car at the Airport.

Our kitchen is special and personal. We use local ingredients; meat, fish and vegetables. We don not run a menu as such, but presents our guest with the best of the season.
